The Christmas Child

The girl’s skin was a nasty mix of green and purple, her lips a dark blue. She had frozen to death, and it was apparent why. The dress she had was thin and short, offering her no protection from the cold.  
 Raquel slowly turned the body over with her foot, wondering how long she had been there, and how long it would be until somebody scavenged the body for anything even slightly warm to wear. This body wouldn’t offer much, though, all she had was the red-and-green dress. She didn’t have shoes, the hottest commodity this time of year.  
 It registered vaguely in Raquel’s brain that red and green were the colors of Christma

001-IntroductionWhen Katie woke up, it was still dark. The pitch-black seemed like a great yawning mouth, ready to swallow the little farmhouse. Still lying perfectly still in her bed, she stared out at the gaping darkness, feeling very small. There was no noise coming from her mother’s room, and all she could hear was the gentle ticking of the grandfather clock in the kitchen.  
 
The old floorboards creaked as the five-year-old stood up, looking cautiously out the door of her room fro some unseen danger. All she could see was her dog, Soldier, stretched out on  the landing, sleeping soundly. As she watched the dozing dog, she suddenly r 001-Introduction

  • Reading: Half-Blood Prince AGAIN. I'm a winner.
  • Watching: Orange County
So. I went to see POTC 3 on Thursday. Just when I was going to fall asleep (about 2/3 of the way through), Keith Richards waltzes on screen.

..........

AAAAAAAAAH. I literally jumped. That man has NOT been good to his body. He looks like he's MELTING. So I watched the rest of the movie hoping that Keith Richards would not show up again.

And then I went home.

And had a nightmare about Keith Richards. PURE TERROR, I TELL YOU.

Besudes that, Pirates was just....long. Lord of the Rings long. And confusing. Also pointless. Worse than the first two. But it was okay.

Can you tell that I needed to update my journal?

You can activate and deactivate the status bar via the "View" menu. Just go there and make sure that there's a checkmark in front of the "Status Bar" entry, by clicking on it.
